[Un]shaken, not stirred
Stick with what brings you joy. Together, this week is another collection of cool-toned colors: mellow blues, teals, and earth tones. Half are EF nibs. With so many TWSBIs, these combinations should last me a little while. Having more ink in pens is timely considering the increased bookkeeping I process at the interchange of marking periods.
Three strikes make a turkey
I worked in three modes this week. First, I taught in person Monday and Tuesday. This involved the usual analog bookkeeping and lesson planning. My electronic work was in our school learning management system (LMS), and in my virtual pacing guide.
Long view on a short week
The Thanksgiving holiday in the US makes for a short work week. Selecting an ink palette for a short week is challenging. Do I go for inks and pens to use at home or do I still plan as if working at school? The newest — ahem: the only newly — inked pen is the classic Esterbrook J. Its 2442 F Stub nib is smooth and just stubby enough to be fun. I fixed the pen up myself, so feel attached to the little girl.
Inked Tines — November 21
The week ran lopsided from the get-go. I spent far more time writing for work than for myself. I intend for this coming week to flip the script through my holiday break. My Delike New Moon 2 arrived this week. It’s fun to meet a new pen. The Delike came with a misaligned nib. It’s less fun to need to tune your new pen out of the box.
