My mnml inkvent challenge returns, week one
Diamine’s Inkvent Calendar has become tradition in my household. A daily ritual of unveiling new inks. Last year, I challenged myself to use only Diamine’s inkvent colors for my currently inked loadouts throughout December. So Diamine, yet again, chooses my ink selections for the next few weeks. Pen and nib choices are my tools for crafting combinations that are still useful — that function for work, for journaling, and for reading.

A travel-friendly academic conference pen loadout
Academic conferences, and professional conferences in general — are adventurous writing experiences.
Reading and writing in planes. Writing rapidly at tables. Writing on my lap. Journaling thoughtfully on what I learned during the day’s workshops and lectures. My currently inked this week attends to all of these conference-going writing needs.

Curating towards custom
A two-day workweek looms ahead. Two days of pre-vacation teaching followed by five days at home. The split calendar affords me plenty of time for personal writing. So my needs: extra fine lines and broad lines in equal measure. I’m living the continuum this week. An EF, two F, a M, and two B.

Writing with an edge and an angle
Four ground nibs sit in my Franklin-Christoph penvelope. Two sharp grinds offer accent blues for slow, methodical writing tasks. Use as directed.
