The gygax method of pen selection
This is the final week before academic meetings begin in earnest. My last week of summer calls for a little chaos of my own making — before the flurry that is schooling.
Dice rolls chose my new currently inked. Two dice, in fact: a four-sided die and a twenty-sided die. The same method used to play D&D. Entropy in the driver’s seat.
The demise of a Delike
Woe is me. Fie and bah and humbug. The pastel light of my pen case has dimmed. The nib collar of my pastel green Delike New Moon cracked.
The pen, all-told, survived three inkings. The New Moon was a fun writing option while it lasted.
Homo sapiens sapiens
This week doubles the Homo Sapiens. So: Homo sapiens sapiens.
My goal this week is to build out the coming school year’s teaching bullet journal. I like to have a light grey and a near-black grey in EF while building the structure of my reference spreads. The contrast helps to focus attention where I want it on the page without distracting via colors.
The 2021 DC Pen Show Collection
This year’s DC Pen Show was an absolute blast. I spent most of the week enjoying my purchases from the show.
New pens and ink eased getting back into reading and prepping orientations for the coming school year. I was quite productive this week, all told.
